Performances on the barge for schools

It is possible, by arrangement, for teachers to book a performance on the barge at a time and date to suit both the company and the school. The easiest way of doing this is to telephone Movingstage on 020 7249 6876.

The show that is being performed to the public at the time the school wishes to have a performance will be the one that is available for booking. You can check this out on the Home Page

The Puppet Theatre Barge is licensed for performances by Westminster City Council. It has undergone rigorous inspections to get the licence.

The cost of a performance for schools is at a generously discounted ticket price and is dependent on the show being performed at the time of the booking. Please telephone 020 7249 6876 for a quote.

THE BARGE

The first performance on the barge was presented in 1982. Described as one of "London's more elusive treasures" it is an established 50 seat theatre with comfortable seating and all modern facilities.

A unique venue, it is fully heated in the winter and cooled in the summer.

The Puppet Barge is rich in atmosphere and provides the ideal setting for the imaginative shows produced by this company.

The theatre presents marionette and rod puppet spectacles throughout the year at Little Venice, central London and at Richmond-on-Thames.

The Barge is cooled in the summer and fully heated in the winter

We do have a new Hearing Loop installed in the auditorium.
Shows are given frequently off the barge in other venues, by arrangement and are available for booking.
